Abstract
Here, the effects of calcium carbonate nanoparticles surface modification with a monolayer coating of stearic acid on the distribution and dispersion in PP (polypropylene) matrix are investigated. The results showed that a good agreement between the measurements made with the TGA analysis and the existence theories. One also sees that the surface modification of calcium carbonate nanoparticles using a monolayer coating of stearic acid is affective in improving the distribution and dispersion of nanoparticles in the PP matrix.
