Abstract

Friction stir tool is one of the key elements in friction stir welding process in this paper the effect of four different types of tool geometry on mechanical properties of polypropylene pp composite with 30% GF has been investigated the four different stir pins of column pin with groove taper pin with groove triangle pin and triangle pin with screw thread along with pp matrix glass fiber composite sheets were selected for this purpose this study will be helpful in selecting the right tool design for FSW of pp composite.
